Damali Dance Company :
Damali Dance Company, founded 2 years ago in the back of a little restaurant in Salisbury, Maryland. The ladies had a few lessons when they decided to form a dance company to educate and entertain people on the art of Belly Dancing.
Today, the company is 11 members strong. They are one of the most requested dance companies in the Delmarva area.
They have an amazing list of accomplishments in their short history. They have performed in concert for Salisbury State University, Delmarva Shorebirds, Dinner Theatres , civic organizations, nursing homes, charity events, private parties, hafla’s, restaurants, competitions and festivals etc .
In March 2008, Nefertiti & Damali Dance Company presented the 1st Delaware Belly Dance Festival. The festival events incorporated the play Scherazade written by Nefertiti and directed by Bonnie Bryant.
The faces of Damali have changed over the years but, the dedication and desire to be the best they can be lives on.
