The Delaware Belly Dance Festival & Extravaganza was a SUCCESS.
On March 15, 2008, Nefertiti Entertainment & Production Company sponsored the first of many belly dance festivals at the Milton Theatre in Milton, De.
The day began at 9:00 with workshops scheduled all day. The workshops we offered were Beginner, Turkish, Hair & Makeup, Tribal Fusion, Habiba, Master Class and Zills & Drum. The instructors were amazing and all received high marks. We had over 40 ladies attend the workshops through the day.
We had some wonderful vendors selling custom blown glass object, Belly Dance Costumes, Tribal & Henna Goods and Tarot Card Reading.
The show Sherezade was truly, beautiful and inspirational. We had cast and crew of 48 on stage. The dancers came from 3 states, determined to give their best and bring this show to life. Every dancer was wonderful. The reviews have been great and we have been asked to present the play again.. Yeah to all of you.
This was not a one women show my any means. There were so many people that deserve so much credit and thanks..
Damali Dance Company, you allowed me to share this vision with and within 4 months our festival was born. You and I worked side by side organizing, loving, fighting, dancing, playing together. Your support and encouragment kept me going when I was to tired to care or dance one more step. My love, respect and appreciation for all of you goes beyond a dance company it's family. Thank you...
Director, Bonnie Bryant.. You thought you were out but, we pulled you back in.... Bonnie, you are amazing and under your direction this play became a broadway production. You deserve all the credit for making this little story a theatrical experience. Thank you with all my heart.
Instructors, Kimilla, Maymouna, Viviana, Habiba and Devra thank you so much for teaching others your passion for the dance. You ladies are wonderful and all of the students loved you.
Firuzan, Rebecca, Caitlin, and Jay, our technical team. Thank you so much. Each of you jumped in there and worked without complaints to make this day a success. We were so fortunate to have such exerienced technical support and I appreciate each of you.
To all my dancers.. Thank You, Thank You. You guys were amazing and all were so easy to work with. It was my honor and pleasure to get to know you and I would love to work with each of you in the future.
